Monthly Wrap-Up: July 2017!

Hey guys? Guess what…. I have typing this post for 2 hours now.*sighs* This week has been horrible, absolutely horrendous and there’s something wrong with my keyboard and I can’t type a single thing (so I’m writing everything from my tablet) and now there’s something horrifically wrong with my laptop since nothing is opening other than my email since morning!! Guys! I am freaking out and frustrated as hell!!! Anyway, anyway, let’s jump onto today’s post, shall we?

Life Updates:

This month had been the worst month for me so far this year, especially this week. This year is seriously not going good for me, neither mentally nor physically, I am having doubts whether I’ll be able to make it to the end. My cramps nearly killed me and I am finally able to sit up today after one who week. And with every freaking thing going on with me among other stuff, it’s just too much. You know sometimes you just feel like giving up? I felt like that (again), I just wanted everything to be over with. I don’t want anyone’s pity, I’m just laying it out there otherwise I feel like I will combust.

My Camp NaNoWriMo writing suffered badly, I was only able to write 2k, I had no motivation and it just didn’t work out this month. And although I hoped to write a bit more today and tomorrow, unfortunately I won’t be able to do that because of the words are all jumbling up, I may need to change the first row set of keys in my keyboard. It is seriously so frustrating!!!

I am participating in The Scribbler Challenge next month, so I can hopefully repair whatever’s wrong with my laptop before that. The only thing that worked this month was bullet-journalling though everything went to hell this week. Aaaaand for this month, I only bought Song of the Current by Sarah Tolcser.

So guys, how did July treat you? I seriously hope it was better than mine!

Monthly Wrap Up: June 2017!

Hey, guys! How are you all doing?

It seems like another month has passed in a blur. But altogether, it wasn’t a bad month. Also, unlike the other months, I have read fewer books this month but most of them were pretty, pretty good! So, without further ado…

Life Updates:

Sooo, life has been… well lifey? My leg’s giving me trouble again and it’s hurting me for every step I take. But on the other hand, I’m been able to concentrate on other things. I have been kind of bullet-journalling and it’s helping me to maintain my goal for each day. This is something which has never worked for me before but surprisingly I was out of the dark pit this month and met my goals mostly for every day. So, I’ve been thinking of giving bullet-journalling a full on try for one month and if it works, I’ll keep up the habit.

My copy of Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare finally arrived in the first week of this month and I devoured it. I also purchased Golden Son and Morning Star by Pierce Brown this month and I hope to start this series pretty soon!

Mini-announcement:

I didn’t get an ounce of writing this month. I badly wanted to but time management is still kinda a little problem. So, I wanted to ask, has anybody been facing this kind of problem too? And also, would anybody want to partner up? Like, keep each other motivated through any medium like emails and stuff, so that we could keep going?

So guys, how was your month? Was it bookishly great or just meh? What was your favourite read this month? Or any favourite blog post?

Monthly Wrap-Up: May 2017!

Hey, guys! How are you all doing?

May was a better month for me since this freakish year started. Concentrating is still an issue for me but I am working on that and bookish wise, it was pretty great! Anyway, without further ado…

Life Updates:

This month for me is probably highlighted by the only and only thing- Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Guys, I have always been a hardcore fangirl but never obsessed but this movie did it for me. I have already watched it 6 times and then binged part 1 a couple of more times. Yeah, basically I crossed the line. But guys, the movie was sooo good. It was EPIC!!! I am still not over the grandeur, the fighting, the songs and the swoon-worthy romance and of course, the acting was off the charts! If you still haven’t watched this historical movie, you need to watch it asap because, believe me, you are going to love it!! (I’m also leaving the link of the trailers here with English subtitles: Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion). I seriously hope you guys give this franchise a chance.

Since Supernatural season 12 ended (I miss my Winchesters!! I still can’t freaking believe they ended it like that and I’m sad one of my kind-of-favourite character won’t be returning), I have started watching The Flash, and so far, it’s good but season 3 is not much amazing as the first two seasons. I have also started watching Legion, I have only seen one episode and it was weirdly fascinating? Even if it was the first episode, it kinda felt heavy, so I’m gonna watch it slowly and also season 2 will be coming out in February next year, so there’s more the reason. Do any of you watch these shows? 🙂 Other than this, life was okay, I guess…

For this month, I bought A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas and The Diabolic by S.J. Kincaid along with a bunch of poetry e-books. Also, my copy of Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare will most probably arrive on Thursday but I am so hoping it’s tomorrow!!

So guys, how was your May? Was it bookishly good or just meh? Any special highlights this month?

Life Updates:

I am kind of relieved this month is over. Lately, I am having a lot of bad luck with my health which is affecting all the other areas of my life. It sucks. But I hope to be back in my game from May. Bookish wise, I had lots of fun, I read a lot of good books, had a rereading session of Penryn and the End of Days trilogy by Susan Ee with Raven @ Dreamy Addictions. I went to the movies and enjoyed Power Rangers with my little brother.  I only bought one book this month, love, and you by Gretchen Gomez and I loooved it so much!! I hope all of you guys give it a try.

Aaand, I won Camp NaNoWriMo!! I only decided to write 15k this month as I had a busy schedule which made it a good decision. But I am super happy that I managed to reach my goal. At first, I decided to continue with Crown’s Bane, my fantasy novel but I still need to work on the world-building so, I started writing Finding Love, a contemporary romance, which is book 2 of my Chasing Love series but it can be read as a standalone. I hope to continue with it so that I am able to wrap it up by July’s camp. Who’ll be participating in July’s camp as well?

Aaaaand that’s a wrap-up! ❤

Life Updates:

So life has been going okay so far. I am going steady on a few of my personals resolutions but I still need to focus majorly on my studies. Urgh! Plus I need to get back to writing seriously! I did start but I need to set a steadier pace. I have also fallen enormously behind bookstagram, definitely need to rectify that but I am much more focused on my blog rather than bookstagram.

Nonetheless, I bought Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes and A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard. I also went to the 41st International Kolkata Book Fair this month with my college friends which were sooo fun! I met them after a little less than a year. It was great catching up. At first, I couldn’t find any books of my choice and when I did, I had such a freaking difficult time choosing what to get but I finally settled for Am I Normal Yet? and How Hard Can Love Be? by Holly Bourne.

This month has been pretty okay so far but I managed to injure my leg by just some simple walking! Yeah, I’m pretty talented at randomly injuring myself and I still have to suffer physiotherapy for it which sucks. Other than that I had a pretty big exam which was kinda okay… I guess. Ehh… am I boring you with okay-ness yet? Yeah… I’m gonna stop now.

I only bought two books this month. I finally got Red Rising by Pierce Brown and a poetry book: Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur. I’m sooo excited to read these two!
