I wanted to read this book so badly because I wanted to know how everything was going to end. When I found out this blog tour I was more than happy and I instantly signed up for it. I loved this book, it definitely lived up to its expectations.

Summary-

The book takes off right where Beyond Reach, book 2 left off. Ariana, Zane, Cal and everyone else continue their fight for freedom on Earth under the tyranny of Novo. Ari and Cal are safe in an underwater facility after Novo bombed their headquarters in Florida. Zane has been been left behind in the Connecticut facility in a coma after being shot, his heart failing him. Ari remembers everything from her past and she holds the key to the secret, she knows the ultimate reason why the war is taking place. Everything becomes a mess in the war zone while she has to deal with her feelings and her pregnancy. When she is faced with the most difficult challenge, she has to make the hardest decision- to save herself or to save everyone she loves.

Plot-

I really enjoyed the plot which was really good. It focused more on the romantic aspect than the war. I was glad the love triangle was finally sorted out at the beginning, I think it was pretty clear who Ari was going to choose and she stuck with her choice which I liked very much. There was a greater emphasis on Ari’s psychic abilities and it was great to see them develop as she took control of herself. I was satisfied how everything was sorted out in the end. The plot twist was great, there were so many secrets that were spilled and the mystery was finally unveiled which was hinted in the previous novella (book 2.5)- Light of a Thousand Stars. I definitely liked the action which finally took place near the end. Though I would have liked, if there was a bit more explanation given about the rebellions and the war and how everything wrapped up in the end, nonetheless I enjoyed the plot very much.

Characters-

I liked every character in this book, all the characters grew up so much and were much more mature than the previous books. I really loved the character development that took place in this book. Ari grew up so much, I loved her determination and effort to keep everything under control and she made amends of her mistakes that she made in the past. She was a mature and grown woman in this book and she confidently took her decesions. I definitely warmed up to Cal in this book though he was still not my favourite. He acted immaturely and childishly sometimes but I understood he did out those out of insecurity. Zane, as usual, I loved him. He has always been a mature character and he was so much more in this book. I loved how he handled the situations and didn’t harbour any grudge against anyone, he was simply a good hearted person. I reeeeally wanted to know more about Zane and his happily ever after. I loved all the other side characters, they were supportive and played an active part in the rebellion.

Writing style-

I definitely loved the writing, it had developed so much since the first book. The flow was smooth and the writing was beautiful and descriptive, I liked how the dialogues were carried out, the pace was even and fast throughout the book and I didn’t feel bored for even a second. Though this book was big indeed, I easily finished it in two days as it was very addicting.

Overall-

The plot was great, the plot twist and the secrets kept it addicting from the very start, I loved the character development of all the main characters, it was great to see them more mature and selfless. The romance was good, the writing style was smooth and descriptive and the pace was even throughout the book. I was definitely satisfied with the ending and I loved this book very much.

Recommend it?

Definitely yes. If you loved the 1st two books tyen you have to read this epic conclusion to the story.
